World Open Draws To Be Made "Live in Rotterdam"

The draw for the World Open Squash 2011, which starts in exactly one month’s time in the Netherlands, will be made ‘live’ on
Monday October 10th at 16.00 hours in Hotel New York in Rotterdam.

The city’s mayor
Ahmed Aboutaleb will be executing the draw on behalf of the Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA) and the Professional Squash Association (PSA) and will be assisted by WISPA’s Tour Director Tim Garner and PSA’s Chief Operational Officer Lee Beachill.

Virtually all of the world’s leading squash players will be going into the hat for the live women’s WISPA World Open and men’s PSA World Open draws with defending champions
Nicol David and Nick Matthew spearheading a star-studded cast who have entered for the richest ever event in world squash, which will take place in Rotterdam from 28 October to 6 November.

Initial rounds of the most prestigious squash championship on the WISPA and PSA World Tours take place at the
Victoria Squash Club, before the action switches to a specially-constructed ASB glass-walled court in the renowned New Luxor Theatre in the Dutch ‘City of Sports’.

Ticket demand for the World Open Squash 2011 has been very high, resulting in a sell-out crowd of 1.500 spectators for both the semi finals and finals.

Tickets for the earlier rounds at the New Luxor Theatre (quarters and last 16) and further information are available
on the tickets page.

Tickets for the most prestigious squash event of the year can be booked online.

With less than 50 days to go before the start of the championship, tickets for Saturday’s semi-finals and Sunday’s final are
already almost sold out.
